Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our veterinarians in providing quality care to animals. This role requires a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean environment in treatment area and surgical suite.
- Ensures cleanliness of kennels and/or cages
- Basic animal handling such as restraint
- Prepare surgical instruments and linen packs as they return from surgery, remove and properly dispose of blades and needles.
Laundry Qualifications:
- Comfortable with dogs and cats
- all breeds and sizes
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Detail oriented, able to think clearly and multitask in a busy environment
- A can do attitude and a team player
- Strong client education & communication skills
