AV Veterinary Center is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or highly skilled Level 3 Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is not a kennel position, and it's not a role where you'll spend your day holding patients and cleaning cages. We're looking for a technician who enjoys utilizing their skills, taking initiative, and being an integral part of patient care. Our hospital provides Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Stabilization, Surgery, Dentistry, Rehabilitation, and Advanced Diagnostics. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of cases while continuing to grow your knowledge and skills. What You'll Be Doing Assisting veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Surgical preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery Dental procedures and dental radiography Laboratory sample collection and processing Hospitalized patient treatments and nursing care Emergency triage and patient stabilization Client communication and education Medical record documentation Collaborating with a supportive and fast-paced team Equipment & Technology You'll Have Access To Digital radiography Digital dental radiography Ultrasound CT imaging access Therapeutic laser Underwater rehabilitation treadmill In-house laboratory equipment Multiparameter anesthesia monitoring Infusion pumps and syringe pumps Oxygen therapy and critical care support Cornerstone Practice Management Software Cubex Controlled Substance Management System We're Looking For Someone Who Is Reliable and punctual Energetic and efficient Compassionate with patients and clients Knowledgeable and confident in their technical skills Able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment A positive team player Eager to learn and continue growing professionally Comfortable working urgent and occasional emergency cases QualificationsRegistered Veterinary Technicians (RVT) Current California RVT license in good standing Veterinary Assistants Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinical experience preferred Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, patient care, and surgical support Cornerstone experience is a plus Must possess a valid California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or be eligible and willing to obtain one within 30 days of employment Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet California eligibility requirements, including completion of the required background check RVT Benefits Competitive pay based on experience RVT license renewal reimbursement/allowance Continuing Education allowance Three paid Continuing Education days annually Opportunities for professional development and growth Veterinary Assistant Benefits Competitive pay based on experience VACSP reimbursement Ongoing training and mentorship Opportunities for advancement Why AVVC?
