Job Description

Overview Veterinary Technicians - All Shifts Studio City, CA | Privately Owned Surgical Hospital We're a privately owned, community-driven veterinary hospital in Studio City specializing in surgery and advanced medical care. Our team includes a board-certified surgeon and two seasoned emergency clinicians, working together seven days a week to deliver the highest standard of care. Our facility is state-of-the-art and built to gold-standard veterinary guidelines, but what truly makes us unique is our mission. We are not a typical hospital that turns cases away, we believe in finding solutions and carrying out our commitment to save as many animals as possible from senseless euthanasia. We work closely with both the public and local rescues, providing a safe place for animals who might not otherwise get a chance. We're looking for overnight veterinary technicians to join our growing team to provide nursing care to our hospitalized, and postoperative patients. We are looking for experienced techs for our nursing care team, and experience with anesthesia monitoring is a plus, but not mandatory. This is a workplace where teamwork matters, compassion leads, and every effort counts towards making an impact on every animal we save. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Critical care nursing, and postoperative care. Handle animals safely and confidently through proper restraint techniques, animal handling skills. Perform laboratory tests including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed records of animal health histories, treatments, and laboratory results with precision and attention to detail. Proficiency in advanced drug calculations Take radiographs (X-ray) of animals accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Manage animal catheterization, intravenous access, and other critical care procedures with skill and confidence. Monitor animal physiology during recovery from anesthesia or critical care situations to ensure stability. Support kennel operations by cleaning enclosures, feeding animals, and maintaining a clean environment aligned with aseptic standards. Anesthesia monitoring Requirements Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform animal catheterization, restraint techniques for small animals. Strong understanding of small animal husbandry practices. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide compassionate client service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of animal care and safety. RVT license a plus Anesthesia monitoring is a plus
