Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animals and their care, learning, and motivation to maintain the standard of our clinic! We expect the ability to provide support in a fast-paced veterinary environment, while maintaining a calm manner during stressful times. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our veterinarian and ensuring the well-being of animals during their visits. As a team, we strive to answer any questions and train our employees to the best of our ability. This positions requires candidates who can handle a multitude of sights and odors that come with working at a hospital. This includes, but is not limited to; blood, feces, urine, wounds, etc. Responsibilities Clean/Disinfect exam rooms thoroughly (feces, urine, blood) Assisting the veterinarian during examinations and procedures. Restraint/Handling of patients in a manner that ensures the safety of both our clients and our staff.
Reception Duties:
Schedule Appointments, Answer Phone Calls, Receive Packages, Communicate with Clients, Check Patients In/Out, etc. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical areas, examination rooms, kennels, and front reception. Monitor patients during their stay and reporting to the veterinarian. Assist in specimen collection (blood, urine, etc.).
