Flexible working hours On-the-job training Company perks Looking to fill Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant/RVT A brand new small animal hospital in Orangevale, California just opened in June 2022. Our care team is looking to fill veterinary technician /RVT / assistant positions. Applicants with a minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience are expected. You will play an integral part in bringing comfort to our furry patients and their parents and ensuring a higher standard of care. In addition, our team will be maintaining a higher standard of practice and smooth work flow of the hospital. We will be embracing a supportive and friendly work culture in our practice. Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferable especially for Veterinary Technician / assistants/RVT. Currently enrolled in Veterinary Assistant or Technician program is a plus. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Provide excellent patient and customer care throughout the practice work flow. Communicate with clients in a professional manner. Making appointments, reminders and performing general reception tasks. Care for cats and dogs. Follow Standard Operating Procedures. Safely perform animal restraint for various procedures. Intake patients and follow treatment protocols. Perform diagnostic lab works and radiology positioning. Monitor vital signs before, during and post sedation and anesthesia of patients. Perform dental cleaning, venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement etc. Organize and maintain supplies, equipment and materials in an orderly manner. Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and other equipment. Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and facility. Use a client-centered and friendly approach so clients feel comfortable sharing their pet care needs. Explain pertinent pet care information to clients. Manage employee work flow, patient care/customer care and overall function of the practice in a safe and organized manner.
