Assisting in and out of appointments, including but not limited to various aspects of helping Dr Waterman run her Small Animal Veterinary Mobile Practice. We have a full service mobile vet truck that travels and to homes in Santa Maria/Orcutt area. We offer exams, vaccines, lab work, medical treatment, minor surgeries and dentals at clients homes. We treat dogs, cats and occasionally care for chickens, pigs and other small pets. Applicant should have at least 2 years of veterinary experience, lift 50lbs, be proficient at animal handling, taking x-rays, blood draws and anesthesia. Responsibilities may also include corresponding and making appointments with clients via text, submitting prescriptions to local pharmacy, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness/order of truck. Willing to train the right applicant. Typical schedule includes working 4-7 hour shift between 9am-3pm 1-3 days per week depending on skill level and needs of the practice. No weekends. Time off during holidays. Opportunity to grow and manage individualized RVT mobile appts within practice.
