Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing veterinary team. This role is essential to delivering excellent patient care and a positive client experience. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment. What You'll Do Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostics, and surgery Safely restrain pets for exams, radiographs, ultrasounds, and lab procedures Assist with documenting patient histories and treatment plans Provide basic client education on preventive care and hospitalized pet status Perform anesthesia monitoring, dental cleaning and polishing, radiology, laboratory testing, and patient care Accurately handle and document-controlled substances in compliance with regulations, if permitted Maintain a clean, organized hospital by disinfecting kennels and treatment areas, stocking exam rooms, and assisting with laundry, trash, and general facility upkeep Provide backup phone and front desk support as needed What We're Looking For Compassionate commitment to animal care and client service Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED required At least 1 year of experience working with animals preferred
Pay:
$17.00 - $28.00 per hour
