Full Time Veterinary Assistant
- San Carlos/San Francisco
Ophthalmology Compensation:
$24- $27/hourly
About Us:
Veterinary Vision is a specialized practice focused on animal eye care, serving the Bay Area from two convenient locations in San Carlos and San Francisco. Our expertise primarily covers dogs and cats, but we also provide evaluations for a variety of other animals, including horses, pocket pets, and rabbits. In addition, our team offers advisory support to local zoos and wildlife rehabilitation centers and occasionally works with farm animals. Our practice includes three board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists and over ten skilled support professionals. We are dedicated to improving and maintaining the visual health and comfort of our animal patients while also promoting public awareness of eye diseases in animals. Greeting clients, managing appointments, and performing administrative tasks. Rooming patients, recording vital signs, and collecting ocular histories. Assisting veterinarians and RVTs with exams, procedures, and minor surgeries. Preparing instruments, medications, and examination rooms. Monitoring patients during procedures and supporting post-care instructions. Maintaining ophthalmic supplies and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. Other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry Demonstrated passion for customer service and meticulous attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff and clients, showing professionalism, patience, and discretion Consistent ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication dosages, client invoices, and estimates Proven ability to multitask in a busy work environmentWork Schedule:
