In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of dogs and other cats in our facility. Your enthusiasm for animal care and customer service will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners and their furry friends. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, and basic veterinary assistance. Duties Provide attentive care to animals by feeding, watering, and monitoring their health throughout the day Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for pets Handle animals gently and confidently using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling, observation, and restraint during medical procedures or examinations Engage with pet owners by answering questions about pet care, services offered, and facility policies with professionalism and enthusiasm Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with kennel setup and cleaning routines Experience Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, pet grooming salon or pet sitting environment is highly preferred Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience will help in supporting medical needs of animals Customer service experience is valuable for engaging positively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting is essential for daily responsibilities Animal handling expertise combined with patience and compassion ensures the best care for our pets How to Apply (Important) To be considered, please email your resume directly to: Include a brief message explaining why you're interested and how your experience matches our needs.
