Job Description
Job Overview As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians while ensuring pets and their owners feel welcome and cared for. This is a hands-on position that blends medical support with customer service in a warm, family-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and minor procedures Safely and gently handle and restrain animals Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic Administer medications and provide basic animal care under supervision Perform routine tasks such as feeding, bathing, and exercising animals Monitor patients and report changes in behavior or health Support front desk operations: scheduling, answering phones, and greeting clients Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management Communicate compassionately with pet owners, explaining procedures and aftercare Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Certificate in veterinary assisting Previous experience working with animals (clinic, shelter, or personal) is a plus Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfort with handling animals of all sizes and temperaments Team-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn Spanish language skills highly preferred but not required What We Offer Supportive, family-like workplace culture Opportunities for hands-on training and growth Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance The joy of working closely with pets and their families every day
