Veterinary Kennel Assistant Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic Visalia, CA Job Details Part-time $16.90 - $18.90 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Dog handling Stocking Full Job Description Part-Time Kennel Assistant Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our small animal veterinary team. This is an active, hands-on support position with a strong emphasis on cleaning, sanitation, organization, and keeping the clinic properly stocked and prepared throughout the day . The position also includes caring for patients and assisting our veterinary team with animal handling and restraint. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining clinic work areas, exam rooms, cages, and patient areas Sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and performing general cleaning throughout the clinic Washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry Monitoring, preparing, and restocking supplies throughout the clinic Walking, feeding, and cleaning up after patients Assisting with animal handling and restraint Cleaning and preparing surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization Assisting with preparation and stocking of the surgical area Performing other cleaning, animal care, and clinic support duties as needed We are looking for someone who is: Dependable, energetic, and self-motivated Willing to take initiative and stay productive without constant direction Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately A team player with good listening and communication skills Mature, professional, and able to remain calm in a busy environment Comfortable handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments, including animals that may be frightened, stressed, ill, or in pain Willing and eager to learn Comfortable with the less glamorous aspects of veterinary medicine, including cleaning up urine, feces, vomit, blood, and other bodily fluids This is a physically active position. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance , stand and walk for extended periods, and frequently bend, squat, lift, carry, and assist with animal restraint. Previous animal care or veterinary experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right person.

Be at least 18 years of age Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be available to work
Fridays Schedule & Pay Position:
Part-time with the possibility of becoming full-time

Flexible, with Friday availability required
Pay:
$16.90 - $18.90 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 30.0 per week
