Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails, providing information and addressing client inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of client information, medical history, and treatments
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures, including animal handling, restraint, and catheterization
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and organized
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients feel welcomed and comfortable during their visit
Skills:
- Experience in pet sitting or working in a veterinary setting is preferred
- Proficient in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and equine care
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and animal physiology
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
