Job description: VCA Wingate Animal Hospital is seeking two Full Time Kennel Assistants. You would be joining a team that makes their pet owners and their pets the number one priority. A team that goes above and beyond to provide excellent care for the animals as well as their team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
• Clean and maintain kennel areas, including feeding, watering, and exercising animals
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications to animals as directed
• Work with the medical team as needed when medical concerns arise
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior

Experience:

• Previous experience working with animals is required
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
• Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners and answer questions about animal care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
• This position requires availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
