Duties Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, injections, and laboratory sample collection Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure compliance with health standards Help with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring overall pet care and well-being Prepare examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment for procedures while adhering to strict safety protocols Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with pet owners Assist with specialized tasks including animal catheterization, animal anatomy identification, and understanding veterinary terminology Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal care background demonstrating familiarity with pet handling and husbandry practices Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar setting is highly preferred Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, restraint techniques, and medication protocols Ability to handle diverse animals including dogs, cats, and equines confidently and compassionately Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, laboratory procedures, and veterinary critical care practices Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members effectively Willingness to learn new skills such as animal catheterization or advanced laboratory work as needed This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal health who thrive in energetic environments.
