Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Doggie Daycare Attendant to join our team and provide exceptional care for our furry clients. This role involves supervising and engaging dogs during their stay, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent pet handling skills, and a friendly demeanor to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Prior experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly valued. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during playtime, rest periods, and feeding to ensure safety and well-being Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in kennels, play areas, and grooming stations Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management promptly Engage dogs in stimulating activities to promote mental and physical health Ensure compliance with safety protocols and animal handling procedures at all times Experience Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is preferred Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus Background in veterinary or animal care fields such as veterinary assistant experience or veterinary experience is advantageous Customer service skills are important for communicating effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning or moving supplies and animals Passion for animal welfare and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role
