Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with daily clinical tasks, animal handling, and client interactions. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory work, and sample collection following proper aseptic techniques Handle pet care duties including feeding, grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment Contribute to animal husbandry tasks such as bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal health status Provide front desk support by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records efficiently Help with animal catheterization, intravenous access, and understanding animal anatomy and physiology as needed Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, medications administered, and laboratory results in compliance with clinic protocols Experience Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly valued Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, pet care practices, and animal restraint techniques is essential Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care enhances your ability to succeed in this role Equine experience or dog handling skills are a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Previous veterinary assistant or clinic experience will help you hit the ground running but we welcome motivated newcomers eager to grow their skills This vibrant position is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to expand their expertise in veterinary medicine. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
