Job Description
Currently seeking a veterinary technician/assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a small animal veterinary practice. Ideal applicants must have completed a high school diploma as a minimum educational requirement. We are a single doctor, predominantly small animal, general practice, looking for an additional team member who is enthusiastic, friendly and compassionate. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, patient care (taking histories, administering treatments, assisting the veterinarian for procedures), surgery assistance and anesthesia monitoring, laboratory specimen collection and client communication. It will also be required to achieve a basic level of competence at handling the front desk (answering phones, checking clients in/out, scheduling appointments). Previous experience with AVIMARK is a plus, but not a mandatory requirement. Above all else, we are looking for somebody with a positive attitude and who will be a team player!
