Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Exam Room Technician to join our growing team. This role is essential to keeping appointments running smoothly and ensuring both pets and owners feel cared for from the moment they enter the exam room.
Responsibilities Include:
Escorting clients and patients to exam rooms and obtaining initial histories Accurately recording patient information and vital signs Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments Restraining animals safely and humanely Preparing exam rooms and maintaining cleanliness and organization Educating clients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care Handling lab samples and basic diagnostic procedures (as trained) Supporting the medical team during busy appointment schedules
Qualifications:
Prior veterinary or animal handling experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate) Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude Must be reliable and detail-oriented Basic computer skills required, Cornerstone experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs Standing and walking for extended periods Safely restraining animals during exams and procedures
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 37.0 per week
