Job Description

We're hiring! mOcean is looking for a Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist or Assistant to join our sports medicine and rehabilitation team in Jax Beach. We'd love to find someone who is already rehabilitation certified (CCRT, CCRP, CCRVN, etc.) and ready to jump in. But we're also open to the right person with a strong veterinary background who wants to grow into this role. Personality and connection really matter to us, but so does a strong clinical foundation. We're looking for someone who loves working with animals and their people, enjoys educating owners, communicates well, is eager to learn, and genuinely cares about their patients. For the right person, we're happy to build on your rehabilitation skills and invest in continuing education and future certifications. What you'll do You'll work closely with our board-certified Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation veterinarian to provide individualized care for orthopedic, neurologic, sports medicine, chronic pain, and mobility patients.
Your days may include:
Leading rehabilitation appointments with pet parents present and involved in their pet's care Therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and underwater treadmill Rehabilitation modalities including laser, therapeutic ultrasound, shockwave, TECAR, Dolphin Neurostim and more Teaching owners home exercise programs and helping them understand the "why" behind their pet's treatment Monitoring progress and communicating with the veterinary team Maintaining clear, accurate medical records Cross-training with our team and assisting our rehabilitation veterinarian during appointments when needed Participating in team rounds and professional development Who we're looking for We're looking for someone who is kind, confident and comfortable with both animals and people. Someone who wants to grow with us and be part of what we're building. You should be able to lead an appointment, multitask, communicate clearly, take initiative, welcome feedback, and work well as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications:
Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) and/or rehabilitation certification such as CCRT, CCRP, CCRVN, CCRA, CVMRT or equivalent. Not certified yet? Don't let that stop you from reaching out. Strong veterinary or animal-handling experience, great people skills, and a genuine interest in rehabilitation are important to us. For the right fit, we're open to mentoring and supporting rehabilitation certification and additional credentials down the road. Why mOcean? We're not a traditional veterinary practice. Our appointments are longer, pet parents are involved, and we have the opportunity to really get to know our patients and their families. We're a small team. We work hard, we laugh a lot, and we genuinely love what we do. We care deeply about excellent medicine, compassionate patient care, educating our clients, and supporting one another as a team. At the end of the day, we want to feel good about the care we provided, the way we treated each other, and the work we're doing together.
A few other perks:
4-day work week No weekends Paid time off Quality of life stipend Reduced pet supplies, diagnostics, medications and food Continuing education opportunities and regular team rounds Cross-training and hands-on mentorship A locally owned specialty practice where your ideas and contributions matter And did we mention we're two blocks from the beach? If you're already in veterinary rehabilitation and looking for a new home, we'd love to hear from you. And if you've been thinking that rehabilitation might be where you belong, we'd love to hear from you too.
