In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and play a crucial part in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and their beloved animals. Your responsibilities will encompass managing front desk operations, coordinating appointments, and providing exceptional customer service while supporting the veterinary staff in delivering high-quality animal care. Duties Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Process patient records and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions. Assist with medication administration as directed by veterinary staff. Support animal husbandry practices by ensuring cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Facilitate communication between pet owners and veterinary technicians regarding patient care. Handle billing inquiries and process payments accurately. Maintain inventory of office supplies and assist in ordering when necessary. Skills The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Proficient in front desk operations with strong customer service abilities. Knowledge of animal care , including animal husbandry and animal physiology . Experience with medication administration is preferred. Familiarity with veterinary technician duties or experience in veterinary critical care is a plus. Ability to perform tasks related to kennel management as needed. Understanding of aseptic technique to maintain a safe environment for patients. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
