This role is hands-on and well-rounded. While surgical support is part of the position, it is not the sole focus. We re seeking a Veterinary Assistant who enjoys being involved in all aspects of patient care - from supporting appointments and diagnostics to assisting with procedures and client communication. What You ll Do Support Comprehensive Patient Care Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments Help restrain patients safely and compassionately Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Support diagnostic testing and treatments Provide clear and friendly client communication Assist with Procedures & Surgery Prepare patients for procedures Support anesthesia monitoring under technician or doctor supervision Maintain clean and organized surgical areas Ensure instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained Contribute to a Team-Focused Environment Work closely with doctors, technicians, and client service representatives Assist with patient flow and hospital efficiency Participate in team discussions and support positive workplace culture What We re Looking For Experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred Experience with animal handling, restrains, blood draws, passing meds, and more Comfort supporting both appointments and procedures Strong work ethic and attention to detail A calm presence in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset A passion for high-quality patient care Why You ll Love It Here Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits (PTO, medical, dental, vision for full-time team members) 401(k) with company match Continuing education opportunities Employee discounts across all Veterinary United clinics and pet resorts A modern hospital with strong leadership and a supportive team culture Be Part of Something Meaningful.
