In this energetic role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians, ensure the well-being of a diverse range of animals, and contribute to a compassionate, efficient clinic environment. Your dedication will help deliver exceptional veterinary services while fostering a positive experience for every pet and client who walks through our doors. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, medication administration, and sample collection. Provide high-quality animal husbandry care, ensuring proper feeding, grooming, and environmental enrichment. Handle animals safely and confidently, including dogs, cats, and equines, utilizing animal handling techniques and restraint skills. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and laboratory work to prevent infection and ensure accurate results. Support pet owners at the front desk by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and answering client inquiries professionally. Perform laboratory tasks such as sample processing, testing, and recording results to aid in diagnostics. Monitor hospitalized animals' vital signs and provide critical care support under veterinarian supervision. Assist with animal catheterization, laboratory procedures, and other technical tasks requiring veterinary terminology knowledge. Skills Extensive kennel experience combined with animal husbandry expertise to promote optimal animal health. Proven veterinary technician experience with a focus on critical care environments. Strong background in animal physiology, anatomy, and medical procedures such as medication administration and animal catheterization. Skilled in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during examinations or treatments. Experience working at the front desk managing appointments, client communication, and pet care documentation. Knowledge of veterinary terminology to accurately assist with clinical procedures and recordkeeping. Ability to handle a variety of animals confidently, including dogs during handling or dog handling tasks. Laboratory experience supporting diagnostic testing processes within a veterinary setting. Familiarity with aseptic techniques essential for surgical preparation and infection control practices.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
