About Us Animal Clinic of Wekiva is a fast-paced, compassionate veterinary practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our team. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain pets for exams and diagnostics Perform blood draws on dogs and cats Place IV catheters and assist with fluid therapy Monitor patients during surgery and recovery Administer medications as directed Perform laboratory tasks (fecals, bloodwork, in-house testing) Take and process radiographs Provide client education on preventive care, medications, and post-op instructions Maintain accurate medical records Support a clean and organized clinic environment Qualifications Prior veterinary or medical experience required Prior veterinary or medical reception experience required Strong animal handling skills (dogs & cats) Experience with phlebotomy and IV catheter placement preferred Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring is a plus Excellent communication and client service skills Team-oriented with a positive attitude Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Computer savvy and able to learn practice management software Why You'll Love Working Here ✔ Privately owned practice with a supportive, team-focused environment ✔ 4-day work week for true work-life balance ✔ Employee pet discounts + 3 free preventive care plans ✔ Health insurance available after 90 days ✔ Paid time off (PTO) after 1 year ✔ Fairly rotated Saturday schedule shared among team members Apply Today If you're experienced, dependable, and ready to join a supportive, team-focused clinic, we'd love to hear from you.
