Job Summary Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician Assistant, where your enthusiasm for animal care and strong technical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this vital role, you will support veterinary professionals by assisting with animal handling, clinical procedures, and clinic operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth workflow, exceptional patient care, and a welcoming environment for clients. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your veterinary experience while contributing to animal welfare and clinic excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and care during examinations, treatments, and procedures Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and laboratory spaces through proper cleaning and sanitation protocols Help with record keeping by accurately documenting patient information, treatments, medication logs, and laboratory results Handle animals safely using proper animal husbandry techniques and ensure their comfort and welfare at all times Support laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic testing under supervision Fill medications as required by veterinarians Experience Previous kennel or animal handling experience preferred Veterinary technician or assistant experience highly desirable Familiarity with veterinary terminology, surgical procedures, and critical care practices is a plus Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward pet owners This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their veterinary knowledge while making a positive impact on animals' lives. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
