Job Description

Brick City Cat Hospital is looking for a full time or part time Veterinary Assistant to join our feline only 2-doctor practice. We are a privately owned non-corporate cat hospital that has been in Ocala for 23 years. We pride ourselves on practicing modern medicine with compassionate care and are a Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Qualified candidates should have at least one-year small animal veterinary kennel/assistant experience (ideally cat only), be a hardworking, detailed oriented team player, that is self-motivated and is a positive minded individual who is passionate about caring for our feline patients, clients, and fellow team members. What sets our hospital and staff apart? Duties include cleaning cages, feeding, medicating and caring for our boarding and resident cats and communicating any concerns noticed to our veterinarians and technicians. Additional responsibilities include doing laundry, stocking exam rooms and treatment, mopping floors and deep cleaning all areas of the hospital. If needed, assisting vet techs and veterinarians with examinations and procedures such as holding for radiographs, blood pressure, blood/urine draws, and giving SQ and oral medication. Qualified candidates should have at least one year of experience working with small animals and truly LOVE working with cats. Avimark experience a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits.
