Training may include hands-on mentorship, veterinary society meetings, lunch-and-learns, dinner lectures, Low Stress Handling® certification, and opportunities to attend veterinary conferences such as VMX. Credentialed veterinary technicians are encouraged to work to the full scope of their training and may serve as team leaders for surgery, hospitalized patients, urgent cases, anesthesia, dentistry, and client communication.
