Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas
• Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
• Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
• Provide post-operative care to animals
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with animals is required.
• Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Please note that this position does not involve dog training or pet grooming.

It is primarily focused on providing assistance to veterinarians in a clinical setting.
