Veterinarian Assistant Wanted Excellent benefits and competitive pay at a team-oriented practice 4th Street Pet Hospital is seeking a part-time/full-time veterinary assistant to join our team in providing high-quality veterinary medical services and customer service to the St. Petersburg area pet population. We're a full-service animal hospital focused on holistic medicine and client-based care. Our facility is state-of-the-art and equipped with the latest in diagnostic equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic cold laser, as well as a full surgery suite. Our staff and team of veterinarians combine years of experience with a genuine affection for animals and their humans to deliver exceptional results. This position involves working Mondays and Saturdays. A high school diploma is required. One-two years of recent related experience preferred but not necessary.
Physical demands:
Individual will have extended periods of sitting, standing, stretching, and bending. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. The position requires lifting animals onto examining and surgical tables.
Work Environment:
Standard office and surgical/hospital environment, with exposure to hazardous chemicals, and sharp objects. Potential of exposure to parasites and infectious diseases that can be carried and transmitted by animals.
