Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Overview We are seeking a full-time, dedicated, and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of veterinary practices and a genuine love for animals, contributing positively to our clinic's environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures Safely restrain animals for treatment and diagnostic procedures Prepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and medical equipment Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain a sanitary work environment Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized animals Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff Collect and process laboratory samples Maintain accurate patient records Stock supplies and assist with general clinic organization Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Manage the kennel area, ensuring cleanliness and comfort for all animals. Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinarian.
