Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Nurse Cherokee Animal Hospital - Canton, GA Full-Time | Up to $23/hour Do you love veterinary medicine and want to be part of a team that truly values compassion, learning, and exceptional patient care? Cherokee Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team. Our modern facility features:
Digital radiology Brand-new ultrasound equipment Dental radiography Advanced dental equipment and drills Full in-house Heska laboratory Fully computerized medical records Acupuncture services Therapeutic laser treatments Our doctors have special interests in: Orthopedics Internal Medicine Geriatric Medicine Behavioral Medicine Responsibilities As a Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Nurse, you will: Provide general nursing care to patients Obtain patient histories and vital signs Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Perform radiography (X-rays) Collect blood and laboratory samples Administer medications and treatments Provide emergency first aid and patient stabilization Monitor patients under anesthesia Educate and communicate with pet owners Support exceptional patient care and client service Qualifications Previous veterinary experience preferred Veterinary technician certification welcomed but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and professional demeanor Desire to learn and grow within the veterinary profession Commitment to providing outstanding patient care We are happy to train motivated candidates and offer structured support to help further develop your skills and career.
Schedule Hospital Hours Monday-Friday:
7:30 AM - 6:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Weekend responsibilities rotate for boarding and hospitalized patient care.
