Job Description
At Cataula Veterinary Hospital, we've been caring for pets and their families for over 30 years with compassion, honesty, and dedication. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a new team member who shares our commitment to providing excellent veterinary care and heartfelt service to our community. We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant who is eager to learn and grow with us. This role begins with training as a veterinary assistant, but also has the potential to develop into a dual assistant/receptionist position. Loving animals is a must—but just as important is loving people, as our clients trust us with some of their most cherished family members. What You'll Do Learn the foundations of animal care: safe handling and restraint, kennel and hospital care, and cleaning to maintain a healthy environment. Support our team in providing compassionate care to every patient. Develop the skills needed to grow into other support positions over time, including receptionist responsibilities. Prioritize tasks, stay organized, and bring a positive attitude to each day. Work as part of a supportive team that values communication, teamwork, and integrity. Participate in rotating weekend and holiday care, shared equally among staff. What We're Looking For A team player with a strong work ethic and a genuine love for animals and people. Someone who is adaptable, dependable, and eager to learn—we are happy to train the right candidate, even without prior experience. Excellent communication and multitasking skills. A positive outlook and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
