Job Description

We're looking for a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinary Technician or Assistant who is ready to jump in, make a difference, and be part of a team that truly cares. You'll provide emergency and critical care for canine and feline patients, with occasional care for exotic species, while working alongside a supportive, collaborative team. Responsibilities:
As a vet assistant or technician, you will: Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures Monitor patient vitals, track inputs and outputs, and maintain accurate medical records Support ICU care, including pre-operative and post-operative patient management Collect diagnostic samples and perform technical skills such as placing IV catheters, taking radiographs, wound care, and bandaging Administer medications, treatments, and fluids as directed, including monitoring fluid rates Assist with advanced procedures such as blood transfusions, CPR, and emergency surgeries Observe patient conditions closely and communicate changes promptly to the team Maintain a safe, clean environment while following OSHA standards and proper biohazard protocols Support team training and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing hospital environment This position also includes reception responsibilities, such as: Greeting clients with a warm and professional demeanor Answering phones and scheduling appointments Managing medical records accurately Creating a welcoming visit from check-in to check-out
Schedule:
12-hour shifts primarily 6-8 hour shifts available Holidays Night shift Weekend dayshift

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary setting (required) High school diploma or equivalent Strong multitasking and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods at a time. Nights, Weekends, and Holidays are required
