Job Description
Join Our Team! Forsyth Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, motivated veterinary assistant to join our growing team. As a family-owned veterinary practice serving the community since 1986, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment. Our practice offers a unique combination of routine wellness care and advanced services - including orthopedics, oncology, and internal medicine management. We pride ourselves on providing thorough, quality care. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats during exams and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Feed, walk, and care for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean hospital environment
- Assist with laboratory sample collection and processing
- Prepare medications and treatment supplies
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Support surgical and dental procedures as needed Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred but not required
- Passion for animal care and client service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and focus on tasks with multiple distractions present.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
