Job Description

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in dental and oral surgical procedures to animals
Assist technician with blood draws and catheter placements
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Help technician prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Provide compassionate care and handle animals with patience and respect
Clean surgical instruments and prepare for sterilization
Maintain cleanliness of the hospital

Experience:

Previous experience working as a veterinary assistant is preferred but not required
Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques
Proficiency in performing laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis
Ability to operate veterinary equipment and machinery effectively
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
