Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic, located in beautiful Savannah, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. If you have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Be Doing As an integral part of our clinic, you'll work closely with our veterinarians to provide top-notch care to our furry patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Handling and restraining animals to ensure their safety and comfort. Administering medications and treatments as directed. Preparing and maintaining examination rooms and equipment for use. Collecting and preparing laboratory samples for testing. Performing routine laboratory tests and procedures. Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment. Providing post-operative care and monitoring for animals. Educating pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the well-being of the animals we treat. What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the table. To succeed in this role, you'll need: At least 1 year of experience working with animals in a veterinary or similar setting. A high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques. A basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
