About us Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic is a small business in Savannah, GA. We are professional, fast-paced and supportive.

Duties:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals
  • Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Provide post-operative care to animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with animals
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
  • Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Note:
Dog training and pet grooming experience are not directly relevant to the role of a veterinary assistant. However, if the candidate possesses these skills, it may be considered an additional asset. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Pay:
$16.00
