Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The hours are 3pm until 12am, 5 days per week. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatments
- Perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Administer medications under the direction of a veterinarian
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Provide support in laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
Experience Required Skills:
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely
- Experience with animal catheterization
- Familiarity with kennel operations
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Equine experience
- Pet grooming skills
- Dog training knowledge
