Veterinary Assistant Woodstock Veterinary Hospital Woodstock Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital closing team. We are looking for someone who is a team player, go-getter, and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys staying busy. Position Overview As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our doctors and technicians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients while delivering excellent service to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and procedures Properly restrain animals and ensure patient safety Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital Take patient histories and vital signs Assist with lab work, radiographs, and treatments Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records Support client communication in a professional and compassionate manner Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding patients What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive throughout the day Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and work independently when needed Comfortable working with animals of all temperaments Basic computer skills and ability to learn veterinary software Requirements Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Flexible schedule, including weekends Willingness to participate in community events and vaccine clinics Work Environment Fast-paced small animal hospital with both front and back-of-house responsibilities. Exposure to medical procedures, animals, and cleaning protocols in a clinical setting. Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
