We are seeking individuals who are eager to work closely with our doctors and have a passion for providing exceptional medical care to our patients while delivering excellent service to our clients. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing patient care, handling and caring for patients, communicating with and educating clients, preparing medications, assisting with radiology, and helping in the laboratory.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Welcoming clients and their pets into the exam room and explaining procedures. Taking a history of the presenting complaint, recording vital signs, and entering information into the patient's medical record. Assists the veterinarian during animal examinations, providing restraint as needed to ensure safe and effective work. Prepares and administers medications, vaccines, serums, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Obtains radio-graphs of animals with knowledge of proper positioning and techniques. Performs laboratory tests on blood, urine, and feces, such as urinalyses and blood counts, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of animal health problems. Administers emergency first aid, including performing emergency resuscitation and other life-saving procedures. Collects, prepares, and labels samples for laboratory testing, culture, or microscopic examination. Provides the veterinarian with the correct equipment and instruments, as needed. Fills prescriptions, measures medications, and labels containers. Performing tasks such as shaving surgical areas and placing IV catheters. Maintains clean examination rooms and treatment areas. Works collaboratively with veterinarians to ensure that all animals are being cared for properly and moving through the system efficiently.
Potential candidates must possess:
Must have a minimum of 1 year of on-the-job experience.
