We are seeking a full-time qualified veterinary technician candidate to join our well-versed team! We are looking for a candidate that is highly motivated with an outgoing personality, has great telephone/communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, and is proficient in multitasking. The ability to smile all day, have a positive attitude and a love for animals is a must. Our clients and their pets, (their family members, our patients) are of utmost importance. Therefore compassion and understanding are required in this position. The ideal candidate must be a team player. The success of this practice depends on the entire teams' ability to work together in every situation. Professional interactions with our clients and the public is an image we want to maintain. However, the unprofessional, not too busy to pet, cuddle and love on the patients that come in the clinic is important as well. Responsibilities/Requirements:
Experience in the veterinary field is preferred and will be prioritized over applicants that do not have any.Requirements of this position include:
good client communication and phone skills, basic computer literacy skills, ability to multitask in busy atmosphere, ability to lift 50 pounds, write legibly, dress professionally (scrubs), show up on time for each shift, ability to administer injections, perform venipuncture, take vitals, restrain animals when necessary for examination or treatment, provide treatments/medication as necessary, and work well independently and in group settings. Essential functions for this position include: assisting veterinarians in medical procedures (including surgical), performing routine laboratory procedures and analyses, preparing samples for outside laboratory analysis, inducing anesthesia and intubation monitoring patients under anesthesia, initiating emergency procedures, maintaining pharmacy records/test logs, taking and developing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, completing ear cleanings and nail trims, and performing other duties as assigned.Preferred Requirements:
