Veterinary Assistant and Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be one of the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service and veterinary care while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animal care and strong organizational skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms. Provide information to clients about pet care, medications, and follow-up treatments. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Knowledge of animal handling and animal care practices. Proficient computer skills, especially with Veterinary Software is beneficial. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy preferred but not required. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
