Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is dedicated to supporting veterinarians, veterinary technicians, clients, and patients alike. Veterinary experience is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for individuals eager to learn and grow within the veterinary profession. Schedule This is a full-time position during regular clinic hours:

Monday-Friday:

7:30 AM - 5:30

PM Saturday:

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Responsibilities Working closely with our veterinarians and practice manager, the Veterinary Assistant will help ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the smooth operation of the hospital.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, dental procedures, vaccinations, and other medical treatments Monitoring and recording patient vital signs, including temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate Preparing and maintaining medical equipment, treatment areas, and supplies Providing daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring patient comfort Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary facility environment Supporting client communication by answering phone calls and responding to general inquiries Assisting with additional hospital operations and patient care duties as needed Why Join Eastland?
