Animal Medical Center of Chicago is a well-respected, proudly woman owned, Fear-Free Certified veterinary practice located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. We have been delivering patient-focused veterinary care for over 32 years and continue to strive for growth, excellence and making a positive impact in our community. Our hospital is comprised of six talented doctors that bring a myriad of individual strengths to our close-knit team. Supporting our veterinarians, we have an amazingly talented team of technicians, veterinary assistants and care coordinators whose skills and education further the excellent care that we are able to provide. We highly value and acknowledge the tremendous impact that they have on the success of our practice. Our Veterinary Assistants not only assist the doctors, but also assist the CVT's in their daily appointments, restraint and client communications. AMCOC is an independently owned clinic that always puts the care of a patient above all else. With this in mind, we have continued to invest in the ideas of a Fear Free Certified Hospital as well as being a Cat Friendly hospital. We do not hospitalize pets overnight, no grooming and no boarding - which means, no coming into the clinic in the morning fearing that a patient has twisted themselves up in their IV line or sitting alone in a dirty cage overnight. We strictly focus on medicine and continue to do what we do best. We approach each work day with the idea that we are here to cultivate a positive work environment while simultaneously helping people and their pet's live their best lives together. This team as a whole continues to move steadfast ahead with one another even amid these last few turbulent years in the veterinary field. We hold ourselves accountable for the wellbeing and education of the staff and carry this hand in hand with our mission "We passionately deliver excellent service and care such that our patients and their pet parents live their best life together" We pride ourselves on having an intelligent staff, with a professional and positive attitude and are seeking an experienced, full-time (35-40hr per week) Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working hands-on with dogs and cats as a veterinary assistant or uncertified technician, be able to multi-task, amazing communication skills, wit, outgoing personality, energetic, flexible and detail oriented. Knowledge of Fear Free and feline friendly animal care techniques are a plus. Applicants must have an open schedule without restrictions and be willing to work a flexible schedule during our hours of operations (M-Th 7:30AM-8PM, Fri 7:30AM-5PM, Sat 7:30AM-2PM). Above a great financial opportunity including very competitive compensation, 401K matching, health, dental and vision insurance, associate discounts, AMCOC offers a positive and safe work environment, work life balance, Sunday/holidays off, and a culture centered in self growth!.
