Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals. Perform animal restraint techniques to facilitate examinations and treatments. Provide basic pet care, including feeding, bathing, and exercising animals. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques. Assist with laboratory tasks such as collecting samples for testing and conducting basic laboratory procedures. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the veterinary team. Maintain cleanliness in kennels, treatment areas, and examination rooms to ensure a hygienic environment. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care instructions. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting is preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners compassionately and effectively. Physical stamina to handle the demands of lifting, restraining, and caring for animals of various sizes. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
