We are currently looking for experienced veterinary assistants for our late evening shifts (6 pm - 12 am / 2 am) and some weekend shifts. Shift differential is available!

Job DescriptionJob duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

QualificationsWe're looking for:

A minimum of 2 years experience as a veterinary assistant or technicianWeekend shift availability requiredA high work ethic and positive attitude team memberCompassionate and calm team-playerStrong communication skillsAbility to arrive on-time and ready to workAbility to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe mannerProficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skinAbility to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and testsProficient in positioning and capturing radiographsExperienced in anesthesia and surgical monitoringA self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillsetAbility to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Additional InformationPay Range:

$17 - $22/hr depending on experience level. Shift differential available for qualifying shifts!
