Job Description

Leo's Pet Care is looking for a Full-time experienced veterinary technician/assistant to join our friendly community-oriented practice. Our ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, a self-starter, works well with others, and can effectively utilize downtime. Willing to cross train 1-2 days as CSR and 1-2 days running exam rooms. Understanding that both roles are extremely important for a happy and healthy vet clinic! Applicants must be highly organized and detail oriented, taking pride in providing our clients with kind care at every interaction. The candidate is expected to possess a working knowledge of canine and feline veterinary issues and excel at client communication and service. Led by Dr. Magnusson and Dr. Bryant. Leo's Pet Care is a wonderful practice that offers general services in Carmel/Indianapolis area. We are a full-service practice that provides quality care to dogs and cats. Our dedicated team includes an experienced support staff who provide exceptional care. We are small but mighty looking for an individual who can develop a rapport with clients and has a passion for being the first point of contact for our clients. Salary is based on experience, training/education, and skills. Responsibilities Provide compassionate veterinary care to patients, including monitoring, basic nursing, and assisting with procedures. Restrain, handle, and transport animals safely; perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, bathing, and grooming as needed. Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, sample collection, catheterization, and radiography preparation. Maintain accurate medical records, communicate with pet owners, and explain treatment plans and post-visit instructions. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic, manage kennel areas, and support client rapport and appointment scheduling.
