Job Description

Busy 3 doctor practice in Salem, Indiana looking for motivated, organized and outgoing individual to add to our team. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be capable of routinely lifting 50 lbs, comfortable getting up and down off the ground. Assist veterinarians and technicians with lab work. Clean, sterilize, and maintain kennels, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, and surgical equipment. Occasional duties may also include customer care at the front desk. At least one year of veterinary assistant experience is preferred. Candidate must be skilled and highly proficient in canine and feline restraint, have working knowledge of common veterinary medications and procedures, be well versed in basic veterinary care and terminology. Candidates without experience may potentially be considered only if extensive medical assistant background and/or medical office training. Job hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5 PM Benefits for full time employees include: paid holidays, PTO, life insurance, short term disability insurance, and health reimbursement account. Pay is dependent on experience level. Part time employment is considered for the right candidate. Candidates should email resume only and include a cover letter.
