Registered Veterinary Technician /
Veterinary Assistant Location:
South Bend, IN We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team in South Bend, IN. This is a part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on performance and clinic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality patient care including assisting with examinations, treatments, and procedures. Support veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as directed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Assist with client communication, education, and support to ensure excellent client care. Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or experience as a Veterinary Assistant. Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and patient care procedures. Excellent client service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule:
