Kennel Attendant - Part-Time | Entry Level

Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital exists to provide quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our clients and patients in the Northern Kentucky area in a professional and compassionate manner. We are currently seeking a Kennel Attendant to join our team. This position is Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM , and is a great opportunity for students looking for part-time entry level work experience in the veterinary field. The primary role of the Kennel Attendant is to ensure proper patient care by maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment.

Expect Within This Role:

Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, floors, sinks, and hospital areas Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, lobby, break rooms, and restrooms Ensure laundry is continuously processed and maintained Stock supplies throughout the hospital as needed Assist veterinary technicians with surgical preparation, including: Folding and cutting surgical drapes Cleaning endotracheal tubes Organizing and wrapping surgical packs Preparing surgical instruments for autoclave sterilization

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum age of 16 required due to job duties and safety requirements Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable, dependable, and consistent attendance and punctuality Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching Good hand dexterity and visual acuity Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Starting Pay | $12/hr If you would like to learn more about our practice, please feel free to check us out on Facebook and our website.
