Job Description

We are a compassionate, client-focused veterinary clinic dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to pets and excellent service to their owners for large and small animals. Our team values teamwork, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication skills. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Restrain animals safely and compassionately Prepare and sanitize exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment Administer medications and vaccines (as permitted by state regulations) Collect laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) Perform basic lab tests and record results Provide basic grooming, nail trims, and animal care Monitor animals before and after procedures Educate pet owners on care, medications, and post-visit instructions Maintain accurate medical records Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, check-in/out) Clean/Sanitize Kennel Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Veterinary assistant experience or veterinary technician certification (preferred) Knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Willingness to learn and take direction Benefits (if applicable) Supplemental Health insurance Paid time off Employee pet care discounts Retirement plan Continuing education opportunities Applicants will be subject to a background check and if hired will be subject to random drug tests.
